What is Float Therapy?
Research shows that the effects of a float session can be equivalent to eight hours of deep sleep…
…making it one of the most efficient relaxation therapies available. A float tank is an enclosed structure (or open pool) which minimizes external stimuli, and resets your senses. Each tank holds approximately 200 gallons of water with 900 lbs. of dissolved Epsom salts, enabling a person to float effortlessly. The water is heated to an average skin temperature, all but eliminating the sensation. Floaters describe the experience like “drifting in empty space.”
What is NovoTHORⓇ Light Therapy?
Red and Near-Infrared Light Assists Your Body in Healing on a Cellular Level…
Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) promotes healing, improves flexibility, kickstarts circulation, and reduces inflammation at the cellular level — all in about 15 minutes. PBMT is FDA-approved thanks to research corroborated by 50-plus academic papers, backed by six Harvard Medical research groups, and studied in more than 500 human trials and 4,000 lab studies at over 30 other universities globally.
Feeling Out of Balance?
You’re Not Alone. A Float Can Help!
Fact: our bodies regenerate and heal when allowed to be at rest. In a busy world, floating helps you “reset” your senses (and stress levels) to help recover from what ails you. Add in the health benefits of the soothing magnesium-rich salt water, and it’s clear that floating is a great way to address a variety of issues.
FOCUS AND CREATIVITY
If you think about it, your brain is an organic computer. And, like any computer, it can get sluggish if it’s asked to do too much for too long. When computer users run into performance issues with their systems, the most frequent advice given by IT professionals is: “Try turning it off, and then back on again.”
STRESS REDUCTION
Are you feeling stressed out? Hey, we get it. The demands of modern life can leave us all feeling a little worn down. Thankfully, a massive meta-study showed that unplugging from the over-stimulus of daily life “can be a useful stress management tool,” particularly in cases of burnout or chronic fatigue.
RELIEF FROM PAIN
The simple effort of carrying our bodies around all day can result in a whole lot of chronic discomfort like back pain, joint aches, neck strain, and headaches. Most have tried countless ways to alleviate the effects of gravity on our systems (e.g. chiropractic, massage, pain medication, etc.) with varying levels of success.
60 Minutes to Awesome
When’s the last time you took time for you? No screens, no stress, no demands on your energy. Just space and time to nurture your body. We offer 60-minute, 90-minute, as well as any length up to our monthly overnight floats for you adventurous ones. Give yourself a float break. Your body and mind will thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions
You Have Questions and We Have Answers
Why do people float?
People float for all sorts of reasons. For example, athletes looking to enhance performance and speed recovery, people who want to manage pain naturally, others who are attempting to unlock their creative minds, and people who just want a break from their busy lives to relax. There are as many reasons to float as there are people in the world!
Do I have to stay in the whole time?
There aren’t any latches on the tank doors, and you can get out anytime. That said, the 60-minutes usually goes by waaaay faster than you’d expect.
Do I need to bring anything?
We provide pretty much everything you would need. However, you may want to bring a brush or comb and/or a contact case, if preferred.
is floating sanitary?
The water is fully filtered at least three times between each float, passing through a one-micron reverse-osmosis filter. In addition, the water is cleaned using a hydrogen peroxide solution, and UV light process. Each tank and pool also contains approximately 900 pounds of dissolved Epsom salts (also known as magnesium sulfate). Epsom salt works as a natural antimicrobial. In fact, the salt levels in the tank water are so high that most microbes and bacteria simply can’t survive in it. Researchers have actually introduced bacteria into heavily salinated water, and it was immediately neutralized.
should I pick a pod or a pool?
There is not a set answer to this question. All the rooms are great and you cannot really go wrong. If you are someone who is very tall or dislikes extreme humidity, you may want to try a pool. It really depends on each person’s preferences.
We recommend trying 2-3 floats before you determine your thoughts on floating, so it may make sense to try both the pod and pool as part of this in order to determine what you like best for future floats. Or just book whatever best fits your schedule.
What if I’m claustrophobic?
Being in the tanks is more like floating in outer space than being shut in a box. You’re always in control of your environment, and even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems with their time in the tank.
We also have two open float pools. Those would be a great option if the cover on the pods concerns you.
Will I get dehydrated?
No- your skin doesn’t even prune up, but it does become silky soft afterwards.
How should I prepare?
Avoid drinking coffee for several hours before your float (it can make your system jittery). Also, you may not wish to shave or wax on the day of your float since the salt water can cause any nicks or sensitive/dry areas to sting. Eating a light meal about an hour to 90 minutes ahead of time stops your stomach from sounding like an angry monster while you float. If you are a member and would like to play your own music/sounds, have a playlist or other option ready to go before you arrive.
